Cerpass Safety Lab is now entitled to operate as a CBTL (Certified Bodies Testing Lab) under the responsibility of National Certification Body (NCB) Underwriters Laboratory Inc., and to carry out testing within the IECEE-CB Scheme for IEC 62133 First Edition and IEC 62133 Second Edition.  IEC62133 second edition was published in December 2012 to replace the 1st edition.  The majority of changes made are specification and requirements for monomers composed of ordinary alkaline or acidic electrolyte or portable rechargeable batteries.  Certification of lithium batteries and alkaline batteries are promoted. 
In addition, wewill be eligible to participate in the Witness Test Data Program (WTDP), the first level of UL’s Data Acceptance Program for UL2054.
